The Oregon Film Awards
A complete list of the 2010 Oregon Film Award® Winners be announced November 7, 2010.
The Oregon Film Awards serves as a
showcase to honor and celebrate the brightest talent in the global filmmaking community while expanding both the audience and appetite for independent film in the state of Oregon. The Oregon Film Awards believes that
independent films broaden the palette of cinema, seeding the global culture with new ideas, kindling awareness, and fostering activism.
The Oregon Film Awards is a competitive event. All films
and screenplays submitted to the competition will compete for the prestigious Oregon Film Awards across several categories and tiers. The Oregon Film Awards' mandate is to highlight and recognize the very best in domestic and international independent cinema and screenwriting.
The Oregon Film Awards is an international recognition platform and awards body receiving and evaluating new work from both emerging filmmakers and masters of the craft originating from nations from around the globe.
The Oregon Film Awards® are presented each year in several categories including four top recognition levels: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. Awards are presented to less than 20% of total applicants and only to those films and filmmmakers that demonstrate a superior level of craftsmanship and quality. In addition, Best of Category awards are presented in each main competitive category and Special Jury Awards are presented to films and filmmakers that show originality of vision and creativity.
The Oregon Film Awards is an awards based competition. Films will not be screened for the public. Awards will be announced publicly November 7, 2010 by Internet, email blast, and international press release. The Oregon Film Awards may also elect to hold a formal Awards Ceremony. Award Winners grant permission for the festival to display clips of up to 1 minute in length of winning films during an Awards Ceremony. It is kindly requested, though not obligatory, that any awards received be mentioned in the promotional materials or websites of the films being awarded.
