The Oregon Film Awards is an awards based competition.  Films will not be screened for the public.  Awards will be announced publicly November 7, 2010 by Internet, email blast, and international press release.  The festival may also elect, at its sole discretion, to hold a formal Awards Ceremony.  Award Winners grant permission for the festival to display clips of up to 1 minute in length of winning films during an Awards Ceremony.  It is kindly requested, though not obligatory, that any awards received be mentioned in the promotional materials or websites of the films being awarded.

At the Oregon Film Awards our aim is simply to find and recognize the best cinema and screenwriting out there. We are very open-minded when it comes to the films and screenplays selected for laudation. For example, we do not discriminate between a film with a big budget to a small film based in one room about a man who plays party poker all day. We choose a project based on it's ability to move us, stir emotion or thought from within, enlighten or educate, or to simply entertain.

Foreign entries should clearly mark their packages with the words: "No commercial value, for cultural purposes only."

We accept submissions in DVD and VHS. We also accept submissions in Blu-Ray. If you choose to submit your film in that format, please include a standard DVD disc as backup.

Accepted formats are NTSC, PAL, Region 1 or region free.  Please mark clearly on the disc and DVD case if format is not NTSC, Region 1 or region free.

All non-English films are required to have English subtitles.

All submissions must fill out the official entry form application, or submit online by using Withoutabox.com.  Once you finish all required fields on the official entry form, please mail it to us making sure to include
your submission.

If you have any questions, please email us at info@oregonfilmawards.com and we will help you with any questions you may have.

Final Deadline for all entries is September 25, 2010.
